Should I Buy An Unlocked Iphone 7
Should I buy my phoen from the apple store or through AT&T directly? Is there a difference? (How does one order an unlocked/sim-free iPhone 7). If you're looking to buy an unlocked iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus in the United States, here are your options.
I'm assuming a sim-free purchase option (like there is for the 6S/6S Plus) will be made available soon. You can't buy an AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon phone--even for full price--- without an active contract/account with the selected carrier. A Prepaid account with those carriers does not qualify as an active account. If you select T-Mobile as the carrier, you can buy an iPhone7 for full price without an active account, but that is a GSM only phone.
If you want to use the Sprint, Verizon, or U.S. Cellular network, you want a CDMA phone. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM.

IPhone can roam internationally on many GSM carriers around the world.
If you buy iPhone with AT&T or T-Mobile, it will not work on Sprint or Verizon Wireless. Us Cellular Unlock My Phone more. If you choose Sprint or Verizon Wireless as your wireless carrier, your iPhone will use CDMA cellular technology for voice and data services. If you buy an unlocked iPhone with Verizon or Sprint, it will work on AT&T or T-Mobile. An iPhone activated on Sprint or Verizon Wireless also has the ability to roam internationally on GSM networks. • Answered by Kenneth L from Perris • Sep 18, 2016 •.
